The Atlas
Jonny Atlas was born the son of the Titan Iapetus and the Oceanid Asia. Atlas, along with his brother Menoetius, sided with the Titans in their war against the Olympians, the Titanomachy. His brothers Prometheus and Epimetheus weighed the odds and betrayed the other Titans by forming an alliance with the Olympians. When the Titans were defeated , many of them (including Menoetius) were confined to Tartarus, but Zeus condemned Atlas to stand at the western edge of the Gaia, the Earth and hold up Ouranos, the Sky on his shoulders, to prevent the two from resuming their primordial embrace. Thus he was Atlas Telamon, “enduring Atlas”.
After deciding he was done with all that menial work, Jonny Atlas became a screenwriter. He may or may not reside in S. Pasadena with longtime friend and compatriot Jonathan M. C. Jordan.
Jonathan M. C. Jordan is currently a full time writer. Like Jonny, he is a screenwriter. Unlike Jonny, he also writes literary fiction (let’s not get into the “screenplays as literature” debate) and scholastic non-fiction on politics, culture both ancient and modern, sociology, and theology. He is happily married to Sarah Jordan, a beautiful, brilliant MFT student currently enrolled at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA. They have no children and spend most of their free time gardening and enjoying community with friends.
There are rumors of a third member of Jonny Atlas Incorporated, though these allegations have yet to be substantiated. Currently Jonny Atlas Inc. denies any knowledge of an entity known only as “Steven Q”. Continue checking back here for further information. We will keep you updated as the story unfolds.
